Sustainable Active Inclusive Mobility (SIA-M) of Pannonian Academy is part of the Mura’s Institute for Infrastructure Development initiative to re-open existing cross-border inter-regional railways and build long-distance cycling infrastructure along this lines in Mura- and Drava river regions by connecting policies and economy with active-, inclusive and sustainable mobility, regional development, physical- and mental health, and sport.
SIA-M Symposium :||: Sustainable infrastructure as a bridge to connect cities and regions
We organise the symposium on Sustainable, Inclusive and Active Mobility (SIA-M) to recognise 130 years of the Radkersburger Bahn (as it is called in German), that was opened on 16th of October, 1890. With this symposium we will rise the awareness of SIA-M with a wide range of the cross-sectoral stakeholders not only on the level of Mura Drava Rivers regions but also level and nationally in the countries of Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Hungary and wider in Central and Eastern Europe – sometimes referred to also as the Pannonian Basin – as a whole.
